Hélène's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in September is out of reach without help covering $2,950 of the cost.

In June I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Saint-Denis Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $6,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $2,950 short.
Doctors at Saint-Denis Community Hospital told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $6,000 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,700
• Physiotherapy sessions: $730
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $520
Thank you for reading my story.

hope it all works out. Hope this works out for you. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Belfast.
Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Edmonton
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Saint-Denis
Thinking of you and your family, Hélène. Wishing Hélène a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
