The heatwave hit the Harbor settlement on 17 July. My home was one of 14 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $400 goes: • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $125 • Food parcels for displaced families: $80 • Tools and labor for repairs: $160 • Clean water and purification supplies: $35 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Mehwish

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. bedding, blankets and mattresses comes first ($125) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
