The heating account is 4 months behind. Sergio received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $700 is paid. He had never been late before July's medical emergency.
Sergio called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $110 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Sergio is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
