Heating shut-off notice: help Qasim pay $500
Help Qasim cover an overdue heating bill so the household stays safe this the rainy season.

The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $500. I have never been late before losing my job in August.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $120 first, which I don't have.
I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Qasim's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $500 goes:
• Utility arrears: $280
• Reconnection and late fees: $100
• Down payment on a payment plan: $120
Thank you for reading my story.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Qasim
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. utility arrears comes first ($280) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
Good luck, Qasim. Hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
Good luck, Qasim. Shared it with a few friends. Blessings.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from San Jose.
hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Thinking of you, Qasim. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
