Heating shut-off notice: help Nakato pay $100
A disconnection notice for heating arrived and Nakato needs $100 before February.

The heating account is 3 months behind. Nakato received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before November's medical emergency.
Nakato called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Nakato is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Nakato's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $100 goes:
• Heating arrears: $70
• Reconnection and late fees: $15
• Down payment on a payment plan: $15
With deep gratitude,
Brian

Rooting for you, Brian. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
thanks for sharing this, Brian. Looking forward to the next update. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Mombasa.
Sending strength, Brian. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I hope February is when things finally get easier
stay strong. Your post was clear and honest. After 28 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Rooting for you, Brian. Shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Kelowna.
