Heating shut-off notice: help Marcus pay $600
Marcus is behind on heating bills after losing my job in March and needs $600 to avoid a shut-off.

The heating account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $600. I have never been late before losing my job in March.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $90 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Electricity arrears: $260
• Reconnection and late fees: $175
• Down payment on a payment plan: $165
