Heating shut-off notice: help Lourdes pay $150
A disconnection notice for heating arrived and Lourdes needs $150 before February.

The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless I pay $150. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which I don't have.
I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $150 goes:
• Water arrears: $90
• Reconnection and late fees: $10
• Down payment on a payment plan: $50
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Lourdes
Update from Calamba: I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts. We're at 49% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you all. We're at 21% now ($32). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.

Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Coventry.
You're not alone, Lourdes. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
Hope this works out for you. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Calamba.
