Hazel's severe tick fever: help with the vet bill
Hazel, Halima's rabbit, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $300.
🇰🇪 Nairobi, Kenya651 views
Hazel is my rabbit of three years. On 18 December we rushed to Embakasi Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Hazel, but the treatment can't wait beyond February.
Hazel is more than a pet - Hazel is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $30 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Embakasi Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Hazel's recovery.
Where the $300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $135
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $90
• Medication and follow-up visits: $40
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $35
Thank you for reading my story.
