Hazel was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in August. The surgeon at London Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,800 short.
my wife has been in and out of London Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Hazel struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Hazel won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
