Hatem's a rare sarcoma treatment fund
Supporting Hatem through a rare sarcoma: medication, transport to the Cairo Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇪🇬 Egypt913 views
Hatem was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at the Cairo Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Hatem is 41, worked as a tailor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Cairo Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $900
• Scans and lab work: $115
• Transport to the Cairo Oncology Institute: $165
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Household costs while unable to work: $185
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Thanks for sharing this, Rania. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Södertälje but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Cairo
