Harold's early-stage lung cancer treatment fund
Harold is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Harold was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at Auckland Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Harold is 29, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Auckland Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,300
• Scans and lab work: $650
• Transport to Auckland Regional Medical Center: $600
