For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,900. It will serve about 399 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,900 goes: • Permits and inspections: $185 • Materials: $1,600 • Tools hire and delivery: $115 Thanks for being kind about this.

                • Thinking of you, Joyce. Hope you get there. After 19 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
