Üsküdar

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $250, and the remaining cost is $1,000. It will serve about 256 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,000 goes: • Materials: $700 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $100 • Tools hire and delivery: $170 Thanks for reading all this. - Mert

Thank you all. We're at 21% now ($213). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
Small update. $64 so far, I made the first payment toward materials.
