Harmony Park needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Prakash's neighborhood project
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at Harmony Park that will serve 496 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 496 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Permits and inspections: $25
• Materials: $480
