Haritha's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled knee replacement surgery in November is out of reach without help covering $200 of the cost.

In September I was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes. My surgeon at Mumbai Orthopedic Institute recommended knee replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $400, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $200 short.
Doctors at Mumbai Orthopedic Institute told me severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without knee replacement surgery. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $400 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $200 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $85

Praying for you, Haritha. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out
