Halima's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Help Halima begin Grade 9 with a laptop, uniform and books.
Anywhere in the world1,465 views
Halima earned a place in Grade 9 at Nairobi International School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have.
Halima loves mathematics and wants to become a software developer. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $60
• School uniform and shoes: $45
• Textbooks and workbooks: $35
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10
Glad we found this place.

Updates from Akoth
Small update. $25 so far, the plan for school uniform and shoes is now scheduled.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($15 in total) the plan for laptop is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Take care. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
I hope things turn around soon. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Nuremberg.
