Gustavo's final semester of an accounting degree in Campinas
A first-generation student, Gustavo needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Campinas Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Campinas Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $780
• Final term tuition: $560
• Exam and lab fees: $85
• Textbooks and materials: $75
Every share and every dollar helps.

hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Leicester so I could bring a meal. Love from Embakasi!
Hope things get better soon, Gustavo. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Thanks for sharing this, Gustavo. I hope things turn around soon
