Gustavo was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at Rochester University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Gustavo is 28, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rochester University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,650 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $380 • Transport to Rochester University Hospital: $780 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,490 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
