Gustavo needs a stair-climbing aid - help us make it happen
Help Gustavo get a stair-climbing aid so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇧🇷 Brazil916 views
Gustavo lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Belo Horizonte Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,550.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Gustavo could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $1,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $65
• Delivery and set-up: $60
• First-year servicing plan: $125
Thank you for reading my story.
