Goro needs my pickup repaired to get back to work in Tokyo

Goro drives for a living in Tokyo, and a broken rear axle has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my pickup. 3 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,350 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $90 • rear axle replacement (parts): $1,050 • Labor charges: $210 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Goro

Updates from Goro

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 54% funded and the plan for road tax and insurance renewal is now scheduled.

  2. We're at 59% thanks to 22 of you. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. More news soon.

  3. Small update. $1,108 so far, I made the first payment toward labor charges.
