Gloria was diagnosed with cervical cancer in December. The oncology team at Birmingham University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Gloria is 46, worked as a tailor until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Birmingham University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Transport to Birmingham University Hospital: $1,200
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500
• Scans and lab work: $970
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $330

so sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Birmingham.
