The building collapse hit the Harbor settlement on 24 August. My home was one of 37 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $900 goes: • Roofing sheets and timber: $260 • Clean water and purification supplies: $170 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $150 • Food parcels for displaced families: $145 • Tools and labor for repairs: $175 I hope life is good to you.

  • Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Vadodara so I could bring a meal.

    • So sorry you're going through this, Rashid. Looking forward to the next update. God bless

      • Hang in there, Rashid. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Rome donated after I showed her your page.

        • You're not alone, Rashid. More neighborhoods should do this. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
