Ginger's severe tick fever: help with the vet bill
Ginger, Daniel's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $950.

Ginger is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 28 January we rushed to the Rio de Janeiro Emergency Vet Clinic with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $950.
They have stabilized Ginger, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Ginger is more than a pet - Ginger is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $30 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Rio de Janeiro Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $950 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $650
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $115
• Medication and follow-up visits: $45
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $140
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Daniel

Sending strength, Daniel. Poor Ginger, hope they feel better soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Jaipur.
