Gilbert lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Quezon City Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,300. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Gilbert could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,300 goes: • adapted tricycle: $1,200 • Fitting and training sessions: $60 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $25 Glad we found this place.
