Gifty received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
The loss of a second income left Gifty short on rent for 4 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, Gifty fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a notice to vacate was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $250.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by January, the family must leave.
There are 3 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Gifty has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $250 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• First month of rent as a buffer: $170
• Late fees and court costs: $55

Sending strength. Hope you get there. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Accra.
Praying for you, Yaw. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 23 people at work. Blessings!
