Giang needs a partial thyroidectomy at Hồ Chí Minh City Orthopedic Institute and the family is $1,050 short of the hospital's estimate.

Giang was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in January. The surgeon at Hồ Chí Minh City Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my son has been in and out of Hồ Chí Minh City Orthopedic Institute since January. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Giang struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Giang won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
