Ghada needs a lift to Jeddah General Hospital - can you help one day a week?
Ghada needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
🇸🇦 Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia242 views
Ghada has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Jeddah General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Ghada can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 14 km each way.
Ghada is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Jeddah
