Get Yana back on the road: my pickup repair fund

Without my pickup Yana can't work; a $250 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 7 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $250 goes: • rear axle replacement (parts): $120 • Labor charges: $35 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $60 • Towing and inspection: $35 If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Yana

  1. Quick update: $25 raised so far (10%). the plan for rear axle replacement is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 8% now ($20). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($15 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
