Get Walker back on the road: my delivery van repair fund
Walker's my delivery van is Walker's only source of income and needs a gearbox replacement costing $1,750.
🇺🇸 St. Louis, Missouri, United States1,326 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,750. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Labor charges: $450
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $190
• gearbox replacement (parts): $1,110
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near St. Louis.
Thank you. If you're in St. Louis I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
Small businesses are the heart of St. Louis. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Praying for you, Walker. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
