Get Valentin back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Valentin's my food truck is Valentin's only source of income and needs a gearbox replacement costing $1,400.

I make my living with my food truck. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $830
• Labor charges: $270
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $240
• Towing and inspection: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Valentin?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about gearbox replacement (parts), advice is welcome too.
Thanks for sharing this. Hope the shop reopens soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
Your post was clear and honest. After 23 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
Hope things get better soon, Valentin. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Grenoble.
