Get Ruth back on the road: my delivery van repair fund
Ruth drives for a living in Chicago, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 12 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 12 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $600 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $115
• Towing and inspection: $120
• Labor charges: $365
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
