Get Mercy back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Without my taxi Mercy can't work; a $100 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 4 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $100 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $10
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $55
Glad we found this place.
Updates from Mercy
Quick update: $25 raised so far (25%). I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
55% there. I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Thank you.
Update from Kisumu: we've started the first stage. We're at 55% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Hope you make a strong comeback. Put this on a community board in Jakarta this morning.
Hope it all works out. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
stay strong, Mercy. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Akron.
Shared this with my family. Love from Thiruvananthapuram.
Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Nagpur.
