Get Mariana back on the road: my pickup repair fund

Without my pickup Mariana cannot work; a $400 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 4 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $400 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $80 • Labor charges: $95 • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $225 Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Mariana

  1. Update from Monterrey: I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. We're at 23% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($81 in total) I made the first payment toward labor charges. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. We're at 13% thanks to 4 of you. the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. More news soon.
