Get Manikandan back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund

Without my ride-share car Manikandan cannot work; a $100 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $100 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Labor charges: $55 • Towing and inspection: $20 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Updates from Manikandan

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($103 in total) I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 58% now ($58). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 45% funded and I made the first payment toward labor charges.
