Södertälje
I make my living with my school-run minibus. 7 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,000. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,000 goes: • suspension replacement (parts): $530 • Labor charges: $105 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $220 • Towing and inspection: $145 Thank you for reading my story. - Isak

Updates from Isak

  1. Update from Södertälje: the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. We're at 12% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($10 in total) the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Isak

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 1% funded and the plan for towing and inspection is now scheduled.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Isak.

                • Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. suspension replacement (parts) comes first ($530) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
