Get Elijah back on the road: my delivery van repair fund
Elijah drives for a living in Manchester, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 4 weeks.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom1,868 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 4 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $700. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $700 goes:
• Labor charges: $250
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $300
• Towing and inspection: $150
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

keep going, Elijah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Elijah!
Labor charges is $250 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for asking.
looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Columbus.
Thinking of you and your family, Elijah. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Mumbai so I could bring a meal.
Sending good thoughts, Elijah. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
Sending strength, Elijah. Gave what I could, wish it was more
