Parma
I earned a place in Year 10 at Parma Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $650, which is more than we have. I love design and technology and want to become a software developer. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag. Where the $650 goes: • Laptop: $310 • School uniform and shoes: $105 • Textbooks and workbooks: $175 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $60 Thanks for being kind about this. - Gennaro

Updates from Gennaro

  1. Thank you all. We're at 32% now ($211). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($111 in total) I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Update from Parma: I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 6% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Hope things get better soon, Gennaro. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Take care.

Thinking of you, Gennaro. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Sydney.
