Genesis needs a full set of tools to reopen a bicycle repair shop
Genesis lost a full set of tools to floodwater and needs $4,700 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Oakland. In January, floodwater took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $4,700 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $2,950
• Initial stock: spare parts: $700
• Shop repairs and licensing: $610
• Working capital for the first month: $440
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
