Gebre's final semester of a nursing degree in Bahir Dar
Gebre has worked and saved for four years to study a nursing degree; a $400 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Gebre is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Gebre can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Gebre has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Gebre would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Gebre isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $185
• Final term tuition: $185
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $15
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Gebre?
thinking of you and your family, Mihret. Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Bristol so I could bring a meal.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Love from Thủ Đức
