Gas shut-off notice: help Usha pay $550

The gas account is 4 months behind. Usha received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless $550 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours. Usha called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $155 first, which isn't available. The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
