Gas shut-off notice: help Shirley pay $850
A disconnection notice for gas arrived and Shirley needs $850 before September.

The gas account is 3 months behind. Shirley received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $850 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Shirley called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $190 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Shirley is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 6 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
