The gas account is 4 months behind. Raphaël received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless $450 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Raphaël called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $135 first, which isn't available. The household includes two young children, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. Raphaël is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $450 goes: • Gas arrears: $200 • Reconnection and late fees: $115 • Down payment on a payment plan: $135 Glad we found this place.
