Gas shut-off notice: help Palesa pay $200
Help Palesa cover an overdue gas bill so the household stays safe this winter.

The gas account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $200. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $40 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $200 goes:
• Heating arrears: $140
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $40
Thank you so much.

Keep going, Palesa. Your post was clear and honest.
Thinking of you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Praying for you, Palesa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
how is Palesa doing now?
Rooting for you, Palesa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.
sending strength, Palesa. I hope things turn around soon.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Ekurhuleni.
