Gas shut-off notice: help Lydia pay $500
Lydia is behind on gas bills after losing my job in July and needs $500 to avoid a shut-off.

The gas account is 4 months behind. Lydia received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $500 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in July.
Lydia called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Lydia is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Down payment on a payment plan: $120
