The gas account is 4 months behind. Juliana received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $300 is paid. She had never been late before an unexpected car repair. Juliana called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available. The household includes three children under ten, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
