The gas account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $150. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Frank's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $150 goes: • Gas arrears: $85 • Reconnection and late fees: $10 • Down payment on a payment plan: $55 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Frank

Updates from Frank

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($118 in total) the plan for gas arrears is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  • Sending strength, Frank. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Davao City donated after I showed her your page.

    • Hope things get better soon. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.

      • keep going. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Accra.
