Gas shut-off notice: help Elijah pay $950
A disconnection notice for gas arrived and Elijah needs $950 before November.

The gas account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $950. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $950 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $630
• Reconnection and late fees: $100
• Down payment on a payment plan: $220
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending strength, Elijah. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Sent it to 15 people at work. All the best.
