The gas account is 2 months behind. Boris received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $300 is paid. He had never been late before a reduction in hours. Boris called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $45 first, which isn't available. The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Boris is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
