Gas shut-off notice: help Bella pay $700

The gas account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $700. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $175 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $700 goes: • Gas arrears: $390 • Reconnection and late fees: $175 • Down payment on a payment plan: $135 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
