I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the St. Petersburg Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $10,700. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $10,700 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $10,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $320 • Delivery and set-up: $125 • First-year servicing plan: $255 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Updates from Garima

  1. Thank you all. We're at 2% now ($267). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Update from St. Petersburg: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 1% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
